“The defNders open construction allows it to fit a large range of drivers, and the adjustable layback makes it possible to use in a wide variety of cars. It is also a great value, priced at $549”……..”Another alternative for a quick exit is to use the Real-eze quick release. This standard feature detaches the device from the helmet with a quick pull. The Real-eaze also makes it possible for a driver to install and remove the device in the car without assistance”…….”All of our testers reported that the defNder was comfortable to wear in the car, the Formfit belts keep the device tight to your body in the car and do a great job of spreading the load, leaving you without uncomfortable pressure points. The driver’s range of motion was also good, as there was no restriction of needed movement within the car."

The DefNder Neck Brace stands out amongst the competition by way of its excellent side protection with lateral tethers providing superior 30-degree impact protection. The comfort of the device is unbridled, form fit belts take the pressure off of the driver’s collar bone and shoulders. Don’t forget the adjustable rear piece which allows drivers to adjust between approximately 20- and 40-degrees – making it helpful when buying a unit without knowing exactly which will fit in your racecar, as well as for drivers who pilot more than one car. Pricing begins at $549.00 and includes everything necessary, as well as a carrying case.

Vintage Racecar Magazine - Febuary 2009
“Unique features abound in the brand-new defNder, beginning with the raised collar that is secured at each lower end by the shoulder harness passing through flared channels, and at the upper ends attaches to the back of the vertical support chassis that also has a channel on each side for the shoulder belts. Underlying the entire setup are flexible Formfit pads to provide a comfortable cushion between the device and contours of each individual’s body. Unhindered lateral movement is permitted by the Motion-Max tether system. All the hard parts are made from an injection-molded Dupont composite, and the one-size fits most device adjusts to virtually any cockpit setup”.
